On the evening of 26 March 2026, the Black Energy Professionals Association (BEPA) convened a high-level celebratory engagement at the Country Club Johannesburg to honour the appointment of Ms Precious Mmabakwena Edward as Head of the Independent Power Producer (IPP) Office. The gathering brought together senior leaders from across South Africa’s energy and infrastructure ecosystem, reflecting BEPA’s role as a trusted convener within the sector.

The event was defined not by ceremony alone, but by purpose. It underscored a shared commitment to strengthening leadership, collaboration, and transformation within the energy sector at a critical moment in South Africa’s development journey.
