Pius has over 25 years’ work experience in the power sector. He has worked in more than twenty countries in Africa and Europe with both public and private sector clients. His experience includes power sector privatisation processes, transaction advisory services, feasibility studies and project management of complex transactions in the power sector.
He has had extensive involvement in the power sectors of Sub-Saharan African region encompassing generation, transmission and distribution systems and is recognised as an independent expert in the regional power sector. He is the founder of Smart Innovation Energy a company that provides multiple services to the Power Sector including, Operation, Maintenance and Asset Management of Renewable Energy Projects. Pius Gumbi is also the co-founder and director for the Black Energy Professionals Association (BEPA).
